Message From Sheriff Montgomery
Welcome to the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office. I hope it helps you get better acquainted with our office and its many functions.
As we continuously strive to deliver excellence and professionalism, our policy is to provide the best law enforcement services possible to the citizens of Fairfield County. Our mission is to provide security and safety to our citizens by serving and protecting the public interests and constitutionally guaranteeing the liberties of individuals through enforcing the laws and ordinances in our county.
Meet Sheriff Will Montgomery
Will Montgomery knows this community and knows law enforcement. A lifelong resident of Fairfield County, he began his career as a Deputy in 2001 and has been our county’s Sheriff since 2014.

While some are investigating major crimes, others are patrolling on 12-hour shifts, still others are protecting our schools, and the list goes on. Community Activities: Keeping Fairfield County Safe & Informed
We believe an active and informed community is a safer community. Because of that, our team conducts well checks on elderly residents who need it, helps to safely locate lost or wandering individuals, provides local children with fun and engaging ways to learn about the functions of our emergency service teams, and more.
