Boards & Commissions
The various Boards and Commissions established by the County government each perform a vital service to this County. They serve the public good and help make the quality of life in the County better for all. It is, therefore, the expressed intent and desire of the Council that all citizens of the County be made aware of the work of the Commissions and Boards and that all be given the opportunity to serve their community by their participation and membership in these organizations. Further, the Council is of the opinion that the best interests of the County ar served when its Boards and Commissions contain members from all areas of the County and reflect as nearly as possible a fair representation of the racial, sexual and economic make-up of the community.
